St. Innocent of Alaska is a small Orthodox Christian mission in Bucksport, Maine. Anyone is welcome at our services, whether you're Orthodox, curious, or simply passing through. You don't need to know what to do. Come as you are.
We are a mission of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, part of the one Orthodox Church together with the Greek, Antiochian, Serbian, Bulgarian and American Orthodox Churches. Services are conducted primarily in English. We keep the Julian (Old) Calendar. We welcome people of all backgrounds who wish to live by Christianity's most ancient teachings and sacraments.

The Exaltation of the Holy Cross
On September 27, 2026, we celebrated the Exaltation of the Holy Cross and Father deacon James's birthday at coffee hour.
New Royal Doors for St. Innocent
Our iconostasis now has its royal doors, made by hand for St. Innocent in Richmond and installed on July 25.
New Altar Table
Father Leonid Goferman built and gifted St. Innocent Mission a beautiful new altar table, which has now been brought from Richmond to its new home in Bucksport.
